Kioxia Corporation, a world leader in memory solutions, announced today that it will absorb Kioxia Iwate Corporation, a 100% subsidiary of Kioxia Corporation, on April 1, 2027. Kioxia Corporation will inherit the business and employees of Kioxia Iwate Corporation.
1. Purpose of Merger
The flash memory market is projected to grow in the medium- to long-term, driven by recent strong demand for AI data centers. This merger is being done with the aim of strengthening manufacturing scale for cutting-edge flash memory products and achieving sustainable growth.
