Kioxia Leverages JaCER Platform to Enhance Human Rights Throughout its Value Chain

Following its induction as a regular member of the Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights (JaCER), Kioxia Corporation, a global leader in memory solutions, today announced the establishment of a third-party hotline utilizing the JaCER platform.

JaCER offers a non-judicial platform for grievance redress that complies with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. It aims to provide professional support for the grievance handling processes of member companies.

The Kioxia Group recognizes that business activities that are mindful of human rights are essential for the sustainable development of companies and society as a whole. Accordingly, in 2021 we published the “Kioxia Human Rights Policy” to clarify our responsibilities in this regard. We also require our business partners to promote respect for human rights, as specified in the “Kioxia Group Supply Chain Code of Conduct.”

Going forward, by receiving reports and consultations from a broader range of stakeholders through this third-party channel, Kioxia aims to enhance fairness and transparency in the handling of grievances, promote further dialogue and mediation, and improve responses to any human rights issues arising throughout our value chain.
